My Story
My name is Caleb Erwin, the driver and owner at Caleb Erwin Racing. I embarked on my racing career in 2020 with no prior experience in racing. I took an interest in sprint car racing due to a fellow classmate in high school, Jake Hesson. He allowed me to go to a couple of races with him to experience the thrill of sprint car racing. Upon going to the races I took great interest in the sport. While attending a 410 sprint car event a family friend made this statement to me, “You can’t do this. It’s too expensive and you have no prior experience to run with these drivers.” Instead of believing what they said, I took it as a challenge. My next step was figuring out how I could do it. What most people don’t see about sprint car racing is the cost and time that it takes in order to be successful in a competitive sport. One of my greatest accomplishments was winning the Track Championship in the 305 sprint car series at 35 Speedway, along with being Rookie of the Year with the IMCA series. I have raced in the 305 division these past three years and in 2024 I am planning on splitting the season between 305 and 410 sprint car races. In 2024, we are embarking on a higher level of racing which is going to the 410 sprint car class. I believe that you should always give something a try even if you have little or no idea what you're doing because you could come out on top.
